Advantages of Steel Pipe Hydraulic Test

Compared with other non-destructive testing methods, the water pressure test of steel pipes has the following advantages: 1. It can expand larger size defects to the critical size, thereby exposing size defects and solving problems before leaving the factory; 2. Causing local plastic deformation and passivation at small defects, reducing the critical expansion rate of defects, and causing local residual compressive stress around the defect area after unloading, which suppresses the propagation of defects and improves the fracture resistance of crack containing bodies; 3. It can eliminate more harmful residual stresses in forming and welding.
